Frequently Asked Questions
What is the booking process? A £200 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking for all our wedding packages, and the remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the date of your wedding. We both sign a contract so we can ensure both parties are happy and know what will be delivered and by when.
How long will my Film be? Running time of our films varies depending on your day. Usually timescales are as follows: Full Ceremony (30 mins), Speeches – (30 mins).
Footage from pre ceremony, reception, first dance – 30 mins, Highlight film as per package. The average length of the Gold package is approx 100 mins. Platinum package is an average of 120 mins.
How long will it take to get the film back to us? Whist some companies quote a wait of up to 18 weeks before you see your finished film, we aim to have yours completed within a maximum of four weeks after the wedding. We can deliver your film on various platforms. You can have your film on DVD or BLU-Ray.
Will we be obtrusive? Absolutely not! We are there is capture your day in an elegant stylish and professional manner. We do a lot of planning so we know the venues, the timings of your day, and most importantly you and your bridal party, so we fit in seamlessly.
How many cameramen are there? Unlike many other companies who often use only one camera, we use two camera operators in all our packages at no extra cost to you. All our packages employ a three camera set up. Why? Because this provides a wealth of coverage for the editing room and ensures that we capture as many of your wonderful moments as possible. For packages using three cameras we use the third camera in a static position on a wide-angle lens so that we capture a ‘master’ shot for each scene.
What camera’s do you use? We use state of the art Digital Single Lens Reflect (DSLR) cameras made by Canon. We also use some of Canon’s best lenses. DSLRs are revolutionizing the film industry. The quality produced by these hand held cameras is so high that a number of mainstream Hollywood films have been made with them due to their relatively low cost. We also use state of the art digital recording equipment. Again, due to advances in technology, this equipment fits easily into the palm of your hand.
Why do you only film in High Definition? We are a film company so we make films that are broadcast quality. The benefit of recording in HD is that the picture resolution (1920×1080) is around five times that of SD video (720×576). This results in much more detail, clarity and vivid colours. If you choose Blu-ray as an option, you will also receive regular SD DVDs in your package to allow family and friends who do not have a Blu-ray player to watch your film on regular DVD players.
Do you use lights? We do have a range of lighting options available for our mainstream film work but tend not to use them for weddings unless specifically asked. Why? Because the equipment we use is state of the art and performs incredibly well in low light, meaning extra lighting is not required.
What about music? We ask our clients to supply the bulk of music choices for their wedding film. As for copyright, we do hold all the necessary licenses to use commercial music on your Wedding DVD's and BluRays.

What do you wear? We wear smart clothes, usually a suit and a tie so we blend in with your guests.
Where are you based and how far will you travel? We’re based in Edinburgh but will travel anywhere in the UK or worldwide for the right wedding! Travel costs do apply for weddings outside the central belt of Scotland.
